7:00 P.M. Saturday

According to my most recent calculations, I think we've fallen back a little from the on-time pace.  At this point I think we'll finish between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m.  We've got readers scheduled until midnight.  If anyone wants to come join in the final hour and a half or so after mid-night, stay tuned, I'll continue to update you and let you know how we're progressing.  We might need a few night owls.

8:15 A.M. Saturday

Right now we're in Matthew chapter 13.  We crossed into the New Testament at 7:18 this morning.

At this point I'm guessing we'll finish between 10:00 p.m. and midnight tonight.  I won't be back up here to update the blog until late this afternoon.

6:30 A.M. Saturday

The night shift was faithful - now, at 6:30 we're starting Haggai - getting close to the New Testament.

3:15 P.M. Friday

If only we had known, we could have arranged to meet our wives up here in the sanctuary at 3:00 - yes, that's right we're in Song of Solomon.

By my calculations, we're 57% of the way through out target time allotment and 55% of the way through the Bible.  We're just a little behind schedule, but not too bad.  I think we'll catch up through the New Testament which tends to be a little easier reading than some of the Old Testament which we've been in so far.

If you want to be here for the finish, my prediction is that it will be somewhere between 10:00 p.m. Saturday night and 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning.  Stay tuned to the updates.  I'm sure we'll be able to have a pretty accurate prediction of the ending time as the day progresses tomorrow.

3:20 P.M. Thursday

We're in 1 Samuel chapter 13

Every time I sit in and have the Word washing over me, I get something out of it.   I was struck by the first couple of chapters of 1 Samuel how Samuel as a boy actually lived in the tabernacle, near to the ark, the presence of God.  Wow!  I want to live there at all times;  and this time in the sanctuary where the Word of God is being read uninterrupted, is like dwelling there in the presence of the Most High.  Loving it - hope you're soaking it up as much as you can too.
